Today my husband and I had the most extraordinary Traditional British lunch at this hidden gem. Not many places can boast a combination of a quaint atmosphere , where you can actually have a conversation with the people at the table, superbly warm staff and excellently prepared food. We started our meal with a heavenly silky bowl of butternut squash soup. The prime rib was perfectly cooked with wonderfully mint flavored peas, parsnips , carrots and roasted potatoes! The crowning jewel was the delicately succulent Yorkshire pudding! A large size carafe of piping hot french press coffee served with cream or milk served as an accomplishment to a sinfully delicious piece of Banff pie. The owners were more than happy to box up our leftovers with plenty of hot gravy to boot. What more could you ask for in a dining experience. (Via Facebook).
